Life Chain 2007

We hope we planted some seeds in Alex and Austin today about how important it is to stand up for something that you believe in so much! It was a good day and an eye opening lesson for my kids. It started to pour rain but we statyed out there until it was over. We look forward to this event every year, and we hope that as the years go on that Alex and Austin will learn how horrible abortion is and that we will always take a stand for life!

Alex had to bring her baby and bear! She's pointing at a car that had signs all over it and was honking and waving going down 95th street.
Alex wanted to hold the baby poster!
After Austin learned what his sign said he wanted every car to see it, so he would dance and wave his sign to all the cars that passed by, at first all the honking scared him, but he learned to like the attention he was getting!

Pastor Ed leading the chain!

Some life chain action!

After church before the life chain

We were getting ready to go out to 95th street for the "Kansans for life" Life Chain to hold up signs for the pro life movment here in Kansas. This is the 4th year that we have taken Alex and Austin to this event. This is the first year that I think they are starting to understand a little bit about what is going on, although they cannot imagine or understand that anyone would ever kill a little baby! We are so glad that we have this tool to help them get involved in this very important issue.

Worlds of Fun 2007

We had a great time at worlds of fun this summer, we cannot go to worlds of fun without becoming our favorite super hero's and ruling over Snoopy land!

School Friends

Some of Alex and Austin's friends!

School Dayz

Alex and Austin love school, Alex is in first grade and Austin is in kindegarten. They are learning how to write and recognize their letters and the sounds they make. They also have memorized the whole 23rd psalm and they both love to recite it for anyone who will listen! They go to school from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the morning class they learn their letters by learning to read phonics, and after lunch (which they love to bring their lunch in their lunch pales) they have a montessorie class, where they learn organization skills as well as other things. They have p.e. class and story/nap time and every week they go on a feild trip somewhere. They really love going to school and so far they are doing well...but it is only the beginning, we will see if it lasts!

Playing with Ella

We went over to Melanie and John's to have an "office party" and the kids were having there on party and posing for pictures. This is when Melanie was schooling me on the concept of blogging and putting pictures on my blog!

Power Play with Warren

We had a night out at Power Play with my friend Phylicia and her son Warren which is Alex and Austin's best friend. They love to play all the games but they are not to sure of some of the rides. It's kind of weird that they love all the rides at worlds of fun but they are scared of some of the rides at power play. It must be that at power play they are going as Austin and Alex and at worlds of fun they are Spider Man and Cat Girl!!
